American Students caught producing fake ID cards

Four Students from City College in Isla Vista USA have been caught producing fake ID cards and selling them to fellow college students. The four students were arrested for distribution and possession of fake identity cards. The County Sheriffs deputies and detectives of Santa Barbara had a search warrant for the 8th of November 2011 at the Students address in Sueno Road in Isla Vista USA.

One twenty year old student named Kotarou Maruyama was arrested by the Sheriffs deputies of Santa Barbara. Maruyama has been arrested of a number of counts in connection with the fake identity cards including selling fake identification cards, criminal conspiracy and forging a driving license. He is also being charged with procession of cocaine. Maruyama is being held in Santa Barbara County Jail with his bail being at 20,000 US dollars. Maruyama had a number of California fake driving licenses in his procession when arrested.

During the search officers found a large number of California fake driving licenses along with sophisticated equipment to make the fake ID cards. The equipment included scanners, computers, a card press, blank ID cards and credit card production equipment. Officers also found cocaine, marijuana, Adderall and steroids at the address.

Kotarou Maruyama´s house mates were also arrested. Nineteen year old Yuujirou Maruyama was arrested and charged on a number of counts in connection with the fake identity cards, they include procession of drugs, criminal conspiracy and the use of a computer for fraud. Another of his flat mates twenty year old Anthony Ugas has been charged with steroid procession and possessing a fake ID cards. Camden Hersherberger also twenty was arrested for being in possession of a fake identity card and Adderall, a prescription drug that contains amphetamines. All four men are students at Santa Barbara College. The only student to be held in police custody is Kotarou Maruyama; the other three students have been released with their case given over to the District Attorney.

According to students at the College the four men had been making and supplying fake driving licenses for some time along with supplying the students with drugs. Isla Vista is well known for its City College party reputation with many residents being surrounded by partying students. The students are obviously purchasing alcohol using the fake driving licenses that have been produced by Katarou Maruyama and his flat mates.
