Albania couple sent to jail for producing fake ids

An Albania couple produced fake ids over a four year period and have been sent to jail at Inner London Crown Court. In total the couple received 7 years and 4 months in prison.
Sentence
36 year old Alvina Timcisina, received 2 years, 5 months and 30 year old Qerim Deda received 4 years, 11 months for supplying and making false documents. The couple, both from Wembley, pleaded guilty to the offences.
During 2021, mobile phones were seized from arrested Albanian males involved in supplying drugs. During analysis of the seized phones, phone numbers were identified in relation to supplying fake id. These numbers led the police to the Albanian couple jailed for supplying false documents. Messages were found details the price of the fake ids and how to obtain them.
Arrests made
After an intensive investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Team arrests were made in March 2022. Within the couple’s property ID card printers were found, and after checking bank accounts it became apparent the couple has spent over 20K on materials to make fake ids. They were living the life with an expensive rented flat and dining in fine restaurants. A computer was seized which showed evidence of over 10k documents being produced, along with utility bills, bank statements and payslips. Over 47k was frozen from their bank account and seized under Proceeds of crime.
